From Wedding Guests to Forever: Our Love Story
Denzel and I first met in 2017 at a wedding—a special one, as it was our best friends' big day. In fact, the friend who introduced us then is the same friend who will stand with us as our officiant, completing the beautiful circle of our journey together. At the time, I was 17 and still in high school, and Denzel was 19, enjoying his college years. After that night, we stayed in touch as distant friends, connected but each on our own path.
It wasn’t until 2022 that our friendship deepened. We became close friends, spending more time together and realizing just how much we shared. Then, on November 5, 2022, Denzel asked me to be his girlfriend, and our journey as a couple officially began. Just over a year later, on January 13, 2024, he asked me to be his forever, and of course, I said yes.
Our Wedding Vision: Rustic, Vintage, and Timeless
When it came to choosing a venue, we wanted a space that reflected our love for all things rustic and vintage. Knob Hill Barn 1892 felt like the perfect choice with its historic charm and warm, inviting atmosphere. The barn's timeless character beautifully matched our vision, creating the ideal setting for us to begin this next chapter together.
For our wedding attire, Denzel and I envisioned a classy and sophisticated look. We decided to have our guests and bridal party wear black, knowing it would give our celebration a polished, elegant touch. The contrast of the rustic barn with the formal black attire created a unique blend of warmth and sophistication—exactly the feel we wanted for our day.
Celebrating Our Forever
As we look back on the journey from that first wedding we attended together to the wedding we’re now planning, it feels like everything has come full circle. With the friend who brought us together as our officiant, the perfect rustic setting, and a celebration filled with our loved ones, our wedding day will be everything we’ve dreamed of and more.
